Two Charged Regarding Heathrow ‘Pepper Spray’ Attack
Two individuals are now facing charges in connection with a suitcase robbery where a believed to be capsaicin spray caused injuries at London's Heathrow Airport.
Tyrone Richards, 31, and Anton Clarke-Butcher, 24, now face two robbery charges and charges for deploying a toxic agent, authorities have stated.
This legal action stems from an probe of an assault at the parking structure at Heathrow's Terminal Three on Sunday. Prior to the attack, two women were robbed of their suitcases taken after exiting a parking garage elevator, authorities reported.
A young child was caught up in the incident during the incident. A total of five individuals went to hospital for treatment and were eventually allowed to go home.
This event – described by police as was a standalone event and not being treated as terrorism – caused disruptions to rail services and the partial closure of the main airport road tunnel and the Terminal 3 car park for a brief period.
