Trump's Family Member Gets Professional Tips from Tiger Woods Ahead of LPGA First Appearance
This young athlete has impressive social media following
Kai Trump can count on plenty of well-known supporters when she makes her LPGA debut on Thursday.
The 18-year-old athlete, who is connected to Donald Trump, was granted a sponsor's invitation to compete at Florida's Annika event in Florida.
The former president, a passionate golfer, owns numerous golf courses and regularly competes against his granddaughter.
"He's fairly competent. I can't reveal details but we have some close matches," she mentioned.
Kai explained that her grandfather, who won't be present, told her: "Simply avoid anxiety."
"He practically told me to play and have fun," she continued.
"To me, he's simply a normal grandpa. He's not attending this weekend. He's focused on running the country, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
Being non-professional, the golfer has participated in a mere three competitions in 2024 and maintains ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association rankings.
But she can receive tips from golf legend, romantically involved with Vanessa.
"He is the greatest golfer globally," the young golfer said.
"Furthermore, he's a superior person. He suggested me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against multiple most prominent players in the sport at this tournament, such as second-ranked Nelly Korda, England's golfer Hull, Lexi Thompson and 2023 champion champion Vu.
The LPGA commented that Kai's presence helps introduce the sport to new audiences, specifically among youth audiences.
Kai boasts a massive following and just introduced an exclusive clothing and lifestyle label.
The competition starts at late afternoon GMT.
